**TL;DR: Furjam is on the 14th to the 16th of September. All the details are below and on the website.**
Firstly I would like to announce that there won't be shirts this year. This is 100% my fault, but don't worry... I'll make it up to all of you next year!
Forrester's was a fantastic venue last year and we would loved to have returned again for 2012, but unfortunately they have gone in a different direction for their future prospects (focusing much more on food and sit-down meals) which has already seen them renovate completely and change everything. It's not all bad news! This year's Friday night event will be held at The Occidental Hotel in Wynyard. Food and drinks are very well priced and it is nearer to a train station than Forrester's was. We have the whole upstairs area privately booked with a bar and facilities to boot. The only downside is that there is no smoking balcony. Similarly to last year, under-18s will not be able to attend, however an alternative event is being held at the same time at Event Cinemas and Galaxy world on George St.
The Occidental Hotel will be starting from 5pm and going til close.
Galaxy World/Event Cinemas will start from 5pm, meeting outside of Galaxy World and go until said movie finishes.

we can never really get away with changing this event, but we don't mind because it's a good one! BBQ at Centennial Park: fursuits, games, activities, outdoors, meat, meet, social, fun, happy and always a blast.
Remember to be mindful of your actions and behaviour as you are in plain sight of everyone. Running around, being silly, energetic and having fun is all well and good, just don't go jumping on cars or breaking things. Sausages and various other items (including a vegetarian option) will be sizzling on the barbie and we kindly ask for a gold coin donation to cover the costs. You can do many other things at the park, eg: bicycle riding.
Suiting doesn't have to be confined to just our area in the park. There will also be a gazebo (hopefully) and bottled water will be provided to drink.
Those organising will be there from 9am, but expect the vast majority to be present between 11am-2pm. The BBQ will be fired up at around 11am - 12pm, with this event concluding at around 4pm. We will be leaving the park at around 4:30 to arrive at ESLC at 5pm. Organisers will be setting up the room upstairs and we would like for everything to be ready before we start letting people in, so there's a chance it will be later than 5. We will aim to have it done quickly and on time.
Paperbark Grove in Centennial Park, Paddington NSW 2021:
The 378 bus leaves from Railway Square (Central Station) and stops on the corner of Oxford St and Jersey Rd, proceed to walk down Oxford St and onto Parkes Drive.

Parking is also available.
Saturday night sees us returning to the ESLC again. They have no problems with us, letting us party on, blast music and dance, wear fursuits and take over the starlight lounge area. We love them too, and we're going back! Poker tournaments, live entertainment, music, dancing, prizes and more. With plenty of drinks served at the bar. Pizza will be ordered from the local pizza hut, and for $5 you will be able to choose any pizza mia. This is an all age event. Though all under-ages will require to wear a special wrist band, as well as all other attendees requiring to wear an orange wrist band. Please be prepared to show ID on entry. Entry will be $10
There will be a Raffle with a commission prize from a popular artist as well as other smaller prizes. The poker tournament will also have a prize and will be free to enter. However, there will only be about 16 spots, any more than that and it takes forever to finish.
Also, touching on how the Art Comp works: Basically, I will randomly pick 3 words from a bundle of about 100 words, all of which will be descriptive words. You then have most of the night to draw up a sketch or picture as close as possible to the 3 words. The winner won't be determined on artistic talent, but on how well the picture relates to the words. So anyone can have a go! Don't forget to bring your sketchbooks and art equipment.
Eastern Suburbs Legion Club, 213 Bronte Rd, Waverley NSW 2024:
You can catch the same bus service (378) on the corner of Oxford St and Jersey Rd (or from Central Station if you're not coming from the park) and alight at the intersection of Victoria St, Bronte Rd and Carrington Rd.

Parking will be limited to side of the road, you may have to walk a fair distance from where you manage to find a park!
Sunday is a flexible day in the FJ schedule with no predetermined events aside from what different groups decide to do themselves. Go around Sydney, get a group together and hit the cafès, shops and attractions. It's so hard to pick just one event that everyone would be happy with and be able to afford, so this is ideal. There's plenty do for those not local, as well as for those who live here. There will be a main group meeting at First Fleet park in Circular Quay with Foxdale and myself from 11am and we will proceed to wander down towards the centre of the city; coffees, lunch and shopping will be on the agenda. Whatever people want to do.
Furjam will finish at Darling Harbour at The Helm bar, a lovely open-air deck style pub with moderately priced bistro food and plenty of seating. Overlooking Pyrmont Bridge in Darling Harbour, this evening will be a fitting conclusion to a furry weekend in Sydney.
Helm Bar, Aquarium Wharf, Wheat Road, Darling Harbour, NSW 2000:
Ferries run from Circular Quay, and the nearest train stations are Town Hall and Central. Paid parking is also available nearby, see rates website here: http://www.darlingharbour.com/sydney-Ge ... arbour.htm

Hopefully i didn't miss anything.
If anyone would like to add any other ideas, or any other fun things they are bringing to furjam. Then feel free to post below! :3

Just relaying the usual "public transport inconveniences" notice, mainly affecting folks on the north side of the harbour this year:
Trackwork on the weekend:
- Trains to/from Gosford and Newcastle are replaced with buses
- Trains to/from Hornsby via Eastwood are replaced with buses, as well as trains between Gordon and Hornsby/Berowra.
Also, if you're coming in Sunday morning for a free-for-all event, the Sydney Running Festival and Marathon's on, so the Harbour Bridge is closed and thus buses being diverted until about 12pm.
If you're coming in by bus from the northern beaches, or the north-west (M61, 610 etc), you'll get dropped off at North Sydney train station - hold on to your bus ticket as you'll be able to use it to get a train into the city. More details here
If you're just coming in for the final event at the Helm Bar, this won't affect you, because things will be back to normal by about 1pm.
With all that out of the way, let's have an awesome fuzzy weekend together! Enjoy it, avoid the drama if you can, and cuddle a shark pweeeeeze? *cute puppy sharky eyes*
