What is your fursona/scaliesona and how did its name come to

Postby Orithan » Mon Jan 13, 2014 11:21 pm

My fursona is Orithan the Red Fox, which is a reflection on myself. Reference sheet on FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/10777382/

I settled on him about a year ago because I wanted to have a proper fursona and that I am often secretive and find them to be cute.

Here's a picture of my 'sona:http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12689987/

They're a mix of feline and dinosaur parts because I love cats, dinos and monsters!

As for the name 'Snackish.'

Years ago I used to go by the name Silver ... but I grew tired of that name because its really common! Also I was into the Sonic fandom and an official character stole that name. So I wanted a change, but I didn't know what ...

Meanwhile, while playing World of Warcraft I make a new character called Snackish. Why Snackish ... I don't know. There's no special meaning or anything. Honestly it was one of my many characters with random words for names. But the name grew on me somehow? I think I like the way 'snackish' sounds. So when I made a FurAffinity account, I chose the name Snackish! And I've been using it ever since.

Then people mistook me for being into vore haha OTL

Mine in an Eastern Quoll, aka Dasyurus viverrinus. His name is Furrhan Blackwood. Furrhan is a portmanteau of "furry" and my real name, and "Blackwood" is a tree native to Tasmania and relatively common around my home down there. I like to tell people though that I took the name "Blackwood" because it's tradition among quolls to name themselves by the rock, tree or log that they make their burrow under since it helps with remembering where the burrow is and with knowing territories and suchlike. We quolls are territorial so it makes sense to have something to help us remember who lives where. *shrugs*

Newbie reporting in!
Whitepaw here, I got my full name because of my life and hobbies. Whitepaw comes from my once white hands that came from almost constant cycling in the sun, with the protective gloves us bikers wear. Remember, a meter matters!
My middle name is 'Desu', which more or less means 'is' in Japanese. Senseless but it has sentimental value.
My last name is just the names of some random numbers a friend gave me once. Two is Ni in Jap, one is ichi. 221, Niniichi. As opposed to 'two hiders and twenty one' which I don't know because I'm only enough of an anime fan to pick up a few words...
My species is a dingo. I try too hard to keep the physical differences between it and I similar. I'm also forever changing my getup or weapons. I've gone through about six full costume choices already and at least twenty custom weapons...

Mine is a green fox, and the name Bede is of an old username I made up many years ago back when I was maybe 13, which was Bedebomb1 (silly I know). Many friends I made online would just call me Bede for short, and on the day I finally made a fursona I decided to use Bede as my fursona's name since I've gotten so used to it. Bit of a boring story but that's how it came to be.
