It's good to keep and open mind towards EVERYTHING, because you never know what will happen.

(Stop lurking and get back to work!
I will in a minute!)

From OP:
1) Pretty fair, actually. Just do your thing and talk to whoever is doing it, too.

2) Unity means exactly dick to the mainstream. The very definition implies that anyone can like it. So naturally, if there is something to be disliked, it falls out of favour. Unity just means either we all go down together, or we all go down separately.

3) Moot. Don't believe in it, don't practice it, don't understand it. The fandom is the fandom, and there's not much we can do to change it. We thrive on people who self-identify as Furry, so us telling someone that they aren't or can't be because of something they do is not just counter-productive, it's also a little bit cruel. It's as if to say, "You can say you like everything that we like...you just can't use our name". I'd rather reject the acts that taint the name of Furry than the people who commit them.

4) Nothing. Exclusion is exclusion, no matter how you try to qualify it.

That said, I'm not going to say that someone fapping to cub porn is a good person, because they're not. It's wrong. But if they claim to identify with the fandom on a personal level, I'm no authority to say that they don't. They're still a Fur...they're just one of the fringe sickos.

Have to disagree here. Fantasy is really open to anyone and anything, is perfectly harmless and perfectly legal, unless of course you'd like to bring in the thought police. The labels you attach to them are misguided and, IMO, reactionary and unhelpful. One can have thoughts which are contrary to common good, know that it's wrong to act on them, and conduct themselves appropriately. In summary: it's not wrong, and the act alone in no way makes them a bad person.

Just... very...very...different... in the sense you don't approve of their differences.

Okay, I will concede that "bad person" may be a step or two too far. Still, though, you have to admit that them ACTING on what is contrary to the common good is the point. I can't monitor what a person thinks. And frankly, more days than not, I'd rather not know. But it's the ACT that offends and taints one's perception of them.

But if they claim to change, cool. I'll treat them as if they have and put it behind the both of us.
