OK, I've got a new stitcher-mah-jigger =D
Which means I can start making collars for people who are interested!
PM me if you're interested and give me a basic idea of what you're after :3

As Collars sound pretty neat to wear, the whole choking issue is still of great concern to me.

Seriously? I've never had that problem. If it's really awkward, though, just wear it one size larger than normal and you'll be fine.

Choking on food would be a higher concern I'd have thought. :P

Just don't wear it too tight. I loosen mine when I want eat, so it rests on my shoulders. If you are really worried, I notice th collar factory sells ones with snap fasteners. One presumes that should the wearer feel like they're being choked, a sharp tug would free them from the collar, rather than having to fiddle with a buckle.

The ability to adjust your collar is part of the charm of having one imo, picking the right initial size is important, of course. The snap fasteners are handy if you'll need to take it off in a hurry, or if you don't like the feel of cold metal against your neck, but being fixed to a very small range of sizes can make it a big hit to the hip pocket if you outgrow it.
Having said that, I'll probably have snap fasteners on my next collar :P

after a certain point though, unless your lifestyle changes dramatically, your neck size probably isnt gonna change a huge amount

Small collar extensions can be made easily don't stand out too much if you accidentally end up with a too small collar :3
My orange collar's technically a little too small for me but in saying that I'd need to tighten it up 3 notches before it's "tight", I like em loose :wlol:
