What wargames, boardgames and other such hobbies do you play

Postby Zakk » Mon May 19, 2014 10:49 am

Hey there boys and girls. Had the random urge to make a thread seeing what's popular at the moment.
Personally I play Warhammer and Warhammer 40K by Games workshop, while also dabbling in Warmachine and Hordes by Privateer Press, but i know there are countless others like Malufax and X wing.

So what do you play my furry friends? Do you play it in a Good Games store? Or do you play at home? Do you even play at a local club?

Share share~ We may even find locals to play with. :3

I used to play Dark Heresy (Warhammer 40K) little over a year ago, I still have the handbook and I still enjoy pawing through it. :D

Theoretically I could pick it up again.

Oh, the awesome pen and paper version of 40K right? I've heard it was pretty good.

Have played Warhammer 40K in the past but haven't played much due to work.

I also love D&D.

I've always wanted to get into it myself. Is there a group around Sydney area? It'd also give me an excuse to make detailed terrain (cause i always love an excuse for that~<3)

Hey Zakk, i used to play warhammer fantasy still have about 8000 points worth of beastmen to paint. Other than that, occasionally play magic at our local good games and play d&d every few weekends. As for other hobbies, I enjoy hunting down hard to find models that would be great for d&d characters.

I'd suggest looking at Reaper minatures for some good D&D models. they have some wonderful ones, i'm also kinda keen to get into D&D, both as an excuse to play with models, forge storylines and make terrain. ^^ The local Good Games terrain is pretty much all made by me. XP

Rackham? That doesn't sound familiar. They make nice models?

Rackham is out of production. They made the confrontation game. Great models. Some of the best I have seen.
