It's hard to deny the significance of Star Wars in pop culture. A teaser was released and the internet has exploded.

What's your opinion of the teaser?

Yes that one, the one everyone is losing their mind over.

I think the teaser trailer looks promising.
At first glance everything looks like a faithful evolution of the original trilogy, and with property as detailed as the Star Wars Universe the creators have a wealth of possibilities for their story.
I know I'll be looking forward to this in amongst next year's Boxing Day releases.

I just had a thought. That new light sabre, it has guards on it. Guards that are to protect from mistakes. But these are made from the same, or what appears to be the same light things as the sword part is made from. Doesn't that mean that it will slice through things, causing more problems than it's worth? It... feels like a very poor design, but this company is really big, and has a lot of money, and it's a very big feature of the movie itself, it seems... what am I missing?

There's another theory out there that it could be like exhaust, like the lightsabre is unstable so it needs more openings to release the energy or something like that.

That does make more sense. I wonder what other things it could be.

I remember the hype about the crossguard lightsaber when it first showed. Movie looks good, lets hope they do it justice
