New fourm problems.

Postby FoxTailedCritter » Tue Apr 23, 2013 5:20 pm

Hiya,
I don't want to be mean or anything but i just thought to point a few things that may need fixing.

1)No Block button.
There seems to be no plugin/addon installed so a user can block/ignore another user.
Not even one so that a user can ignore the other user's comments. This is needed as not everybody gets along with each other.

2) No button for requesting roles.
Before there was a button where you could ask/request to join groups like the moderation team.
There is none now. (Not really a problem but rather confusing.)

3) Constant Spam. (And nothing being done to remove the threads.)
Now it is hard to control spam i understand, but when threads like This get flagged/reported by mutiple users for weeks and nothing happens then something is wrong. Is it because lack of mods online?
(Spam issue is now fixed.)

Plus the spam in the activity section is pretty bad.
Chances are you guys already know about these problems, But in case you didn't there is some input.

Also there seems to be no point in the "Who's Online Settings"
(I.e "Make me invisible")

As you can straight away tell when the user is online, as it automatically shows so in the
"Recently Active Users" section. (After testing on my account and a ''friends''.) :3

Though on the good side vanilla forums is way better security wise then the old forum.
Plus Approved addons like http://vanillaforums.org/addon/ignore-plugin is handy.
