Has the forum just been hit by a spam bot? I'm seeing the latest posts just being by one person.

I just got a response, he'll be able to work on spam bot removal after 6:30 when he arrives home. His current technology is incompatible with the site whilst away from his residence.

Flag and hold tight until then.

That's fer sure! Thanks Wererstritchy.

Thanks to everyone who marked the spam for me. The forum should be clean again, at least for a while.

That's the second time in two days... we may need better preventative measures put in place.

Does anyone remember how they signed up, if there are security measures there?

Sorry if I sounded impatient. I was more looking at how they are getting in, rather than how fast we're responding to them.

at the moment, security is set to sign up and post, I can change it to approval needed, that of course means that new members might have to wait a max of a couple of days before posting.
Ive changed the setting that requires them to confirm email before posting, that may help, if it dosent then I shall change it to approval needed

That sounds ideal.
