I'm pretty sure most people have noticed this place is a ghost town sometimes, threads go unanswered and sometimes nothing happens for days, so where the hell did all the commotion go? PS. I dont use facebook so I suspect thats where everyone went, that being said, I don't know where on facebook they went.

Forums definitely take the back seat when there are so many other ways of getting feeds that update almost instantly. It's a funny market with social media. Forums are great for looking back on things, long discussions and a lot of progressive stuff.

Unfortunately, it's only as busy as the people who attend it are willing to make it.

Most people come here wanting to find where the other furries are. Furstralia used to be active enough to supply that, now it's more FB based, because things update, and people post frequently there.

These forums are now more of a social hub, but at the same time, it's rather difficult to garner any interest for any subject.

I do cooking from time to time, post recipes, I sometimes find a good article to write about, a game that I liked, stuff I read, and try to post something well-formatted.

It's... not easy trying to keep a forum active. I can tell you that much, especially when I'm working as a full-time person, and do lots of external activities.

Is there something that you want to see in particular, or would you just like more activity?

It would help if there was an active effort to integrate with the facebook furry community and the australian fur affinity users. Perhap links provided to popular groups ect, maybe some of the people there might bleed over.

Hmmm... I wish there was some way to get more furs here.

I'm more then willing to come here and hang out daily but there is hardly anyone else here.

What could we do to save the forum?

The trouble is that Furstralia started losing members after FB got more popular, its just a natural progression I guess, maybe one day forums will start coming back in and we'll see a resurgence.

There are pages on fb for all the major cons, every city has a page, pages for everything furry related

The only real thing that could save the forum is if people posted stuff suited for forums, long stories, post RPs, pictures, discussions on topics or shared creation stuff.

I, for one, love stories and art.

I've never used Facebook, not even in high school, and I have no intention of using facebook to this very day.

Sadly it still leaves me with the lingering feeling that I am missing out on a big chunk of the Aussie furry community.
